Braided Cords

Ecclesiastes 4:12 "A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."

As the days draw near for the conference I am attending the enemy has started prowling around, roaring loudly. There are times when I can feel the swish of it's tail as it stalks by. Doubt, fear, worry are it's offspring, leaving me grasping at the hands of my sisters as I slide backwards. Thankfully, God's promise in Ecclesiastes has become etched in my heart to give me strength in the journey.

She Speaks is put on by Proverbs 31 Ministries. It is located in Concord, NC and held every July. Imagine 600 women, all focused on Christ and His ministry, with no goal other than to bring Him to the world via writing or speaking. It is like nothing I have ever been involved with. I can't even describe the atmosphere other than to say it is filled with miracles and moments that will leave you in awe of His power.

When so many women are gathered in His name and for His purpose, it makes the enemy so angry. But we are so victorious over all of his pathetic plans. For all of us, standing together will make a powerful statement to the world. We will do all we can to bring God's Word and the blessings of Christ's sacrifice to every single person we can. Whether we write it, speak it, hear it, read it, or are lifted up by it, God's Word is all the power we need to over come anything.

Together all those words, whether written or spoken, are braided together to form a cord that wraps around our family, our friends, strangers, new believers, the broken, the healed, the forgiven, and most importantly those who are looking for His Light. That cord can never be broken by the enemy. As I read in my devotion this morning from Beth Moore "Listen carefully: if you belong to Christ, Satan cannot destroy you. The best he can do is to convince you that you're destroyed."

You belong sweet friend! Speak those words He wants to hear! Ask Him into your heart. Ask Him to take away your troubles. Ask Him to forgive you. He has your back. He will stand with you. Ask Him to send you someone to make that bond even stronger. Ask Him for help. He has promised that He will never leave you alone. Romans 8:35-37 speaks to us directly. "Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?...No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us."

Dearest Father God, We know their are many out there who are alone and afraid. There are those who are feeling like no one cares and no one knows their pain. Please Father, let us never overlook anyone who moves through our life who needs You. Let us reach out to them. Let us have their back. Let us stand with them to defend them from the enemy as he prowls around. Please bless all the women who are preparing for the She Speaks conference. Let them remember to stand together to give strength to us all. Please bless us this day as we go about your work. Father I also ask a special blessing on the marines of the 1/8 who have lost loved ones in the last few days. Make that hedge of protection thick and strong. Give peace to the families of the lost and strength to the families who are worried. In the name of our beloved Brother, Jesus Christ, Amen
