Acts 17:24 “He is the God who made the world and everything
in it. Since He is Lord of Heaven and earth, He doesn’t live in man-made
temples,”

Saturday night sweetheart and I were blessed to be able to
attend the Come To The Well tour of
Casting Crowns and
Matthew West along with
several other singers. We sat with new friends and old, laughing and enjoying a wonderful evening. Our local amphitheater which usually plays host to more
secular groups was sold out. Imagine seventeen thousand people, sitting out
under a beautiful full moon, singing praises to our Lord! Is that not an
amazing thought! How comforting to know that Christ will meet us on a grassy hillside under His glorious Heaven!

A youth pastor in his day job, Mark Hall (lead singer of Casting Crowns) brings a joy and
love of Christ to the concerts that have you jumping to your feet. He makes no
excuses about the fact that most of their songs are sermons put to music,
brought on by the real life issues that affect them as pastors and teachers. Their
songs at once convict you to things yet pull you in and wrap you in a warm
blanket of belonging. You find yourself thinking “yeah, that’s my life. How did
he know that?”

It was a beautiful evening, with a cool breeze that blew up
just before the concert started. There was nothing to complain about. No bugs,
no blistering heat, and they even let you bring in your own water bottles. I
was overjoyed to find that I could bring my camera to the event. Capturing the
spirit of such a praise and worship event was difficult but youngest daughter
and I did our best to share the pure love of Christ with you in pictures.

I am always in awe of singers who spend their entire lives
devoted to worshiping Christ and sharing that worship with thousands and
thousands of people. Sometimes what we think and read and see just doesn’t compare
with hearing the perfect song to define just how you feel about life, about
struggles, about forgiveness, about Christ. I never fail to marvel at how just
the right song can change someone’s life forever.

Dearest Father God, as we come before you at the start of
this week, let us turn our hearts and minds to You. Let us fill our souls with
the beautiful words of Your scriptures. Let us reap the benefits of those whose
gift it is to share Your words with us through their songs. Thank You for all
that You have given us. Help our week be focused on You, help our words be Your
words, our actions be Your actions. Let us come to the well of Your Love and
drink deep! We love you so much Father. In the name of Your Son, Christ Jesus,
Amen
